Having your partner’s back is very important.
Relationships require a lot of compromise and sacrifice if you want to make them work. It is not all about happy endings. And movies might not show you this but the family’s approval of your partner can be quite a big thing for a lot of people. While some people don’t really care what their parents think, some do and this can cause tension in the extended family. However, at the end of the day, you have to stick up for your partner whenever you feel like your family is insulting them.
I understand that it can be hard to remain unbiased when it comes to family but you don’t want your partner to feel less important. Because at the end of the day, when you get married, your partner is your new family and you need to respect that. So when your sister doesn’t invite your husband to her wedding, is it really a good idea to go to that wedding? Right from the start, we can tell that her family has some issues.
Not only did they not invite him but it is on his birthday.
She only invited her sister which is not anything a decent person would do.
Her whole family doesn’t appreciate this guy and that is outrageous.
She has asked her sister to be a bridesmaid.
So she is considering leaving him alone on his birthday.
He was thinking of going on a vacation with his wife.
But that doesn’t seem to be possible anymore.
Not only is it his birthday but she is also leaving a toddler with him. I am not saying that he can’t take care of his own child but she is basically prioritizing her sister over her husband. I am not saying that she has to choose between them but the sister is being an a**hole in this story for not inviting the husband. I don’t understand how a woman can do this to her own sister and her family. I can only hope that she realizes this and doesn’t leave her husband behind.
