Guy Gets Mistaken For Backstage Security, Gets Free Drinks And A Good Show

Nobody wants to be misidentified as an employee.

I’m not saying that working at a specific location is bad, but when you get out of your actual work, you don’t want to deal with any more customers or people in general. And we’ve all heard thousands of stories about Karens mistaking a customer for an employee and laying into them, which no one wants to deal with. However, every once in a while, you are mistaken for an employee and end up having a good time. This may not happen very often, but it was clearly enjoyable for OP.

He was attending a concert when he was mistaken for backstage security. He attempted to clarify the situation, but the manager ignored him. So he just went with it and ended up very close to the band’s performance, which was excellent. Not only that but he was also given free food and drinks. Who wouldn’t want that? I’m not sure if the manager ever realised he was just a random stranger, but I’d love to see her face when she did.

The title says it all but the it is worth the read.

This is an older story but it is still a very interesting one.

He was at a concert but got confused as to where he was supposed to go.

He somehow ended up backstage as there wasn’t a clear line.

Then a woman comes towards him asking where his lanyard is.

He wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place but she wasn’t willing to listen.

And that is how he ended up with a great view of the band and a fun night.

The manager was clearly not rude in any way; she was simply in a hurry and didn’t realise he wasn’t the bouncer. At the very least, he did his “job” and got a good performance out of it. It would have been more amusing if she had actually paid him, but that would have been unjust to the actual security guard. But I’m curious what happened to the actual security guard. Were they simply not present, or did they get lost somewhere?

It would have been quite funny.

But he does feel that it was a fun experience nonetheless.

Maybe I should do this when I go to a concert, I already wear a lot of black.

It might be a good story for her to share in the future as well.

I have never heard of them but I want to listen to them now.

Well, I guess hearing anything new from them is out of the picture now.

To be fair, Yellowcard is a weird name for a band.

Apparently, a lot of people know about Yellowcard.
