Forcing your kids to do something is never a good idea.
I know we see a lot of parents who ‘encourage’ their kids to follow in their footsteps but it is never a bright idea. Because by encouraging I mean they put a ton of pressure on their child until the kid is left reeling under all of those responsibilities. Parents have to understand that when they have a kid, they don’t get another mini version of themselves and they are their own individuals. However, a lot of issues in their relationships arise because parents never learn.
Now I am not saying that all parents are like this because they are not. But the ones who do follow this general idea end up with kids who don’t want anything to do with them and it can cause irreparable harm to the child’s psyche as well. And that is exactly what is happening in this particular scenario. Some people do learn their lesson and promise to do better but that is not what happened in this story.

This is going to be one heck of a long story so strap in for that.
It is clear right from the start that his parents put a lot of pressure on him.
However, he was able to get out from under all of that and has thrived in his life.
But it doesn’t seem like his parents are happy with him as they let it slip by when his wife was at their house.
As you can probably expect, she wasn’t going to take that on the chin and told them exactly what she thought.
She told them the truth and she was met with silence.
Rather than saying anything more, she quickly left.
her husband was not mad at all and appreciated her standing up for him.
She also shared a bit more information.
So they have decided to imply another method for the sake of the kids.
It is clear that they were all just putting on a farce.
She has clearly given us a lot of information and I am thankful for that. I do believe that she did the right thing by standing up for her husband. And it doesn’t seem like the husband is angry at her for this so I’d say that she is in the clear. And it does seem like the only reasons they were being accepting was because of the kids and they didn’t really care for their son. So I am glad they got what they deserved and this family didn’t accept the probably false apology.
But the story doesn’t end there as we got another long update.
She explained in great detail what they are going to do from now on.
And they are keeping it civil with everyone but they are on thin ice.
They tried to apologize but it was clearly too little too late.
The kids however are being treated well so there is that.
They even talked to his sisters.
And everyone was on board with the idea.
I am glad that they have stood their ground.
And I can only hope that things continue to go well.
We all need a palate cleanser after that. So time for cat tax!
