The internet criticized a mother for making her stepdaughter’s birthday cake the flavor her daughter preferred rather than the type her stepdaughter requested. Dad u/Am535799 submitted his tale anonymously on the r/AmITheA**hole topic on Reddit in an effort to get feedback from the “AITA” group. The original poster (OP) introduced his story by stating that he has a stepdaughter named “Britney” from his present marriage to his wife as well as a daughter named “Olivia” from a previous relationship. Additionally, he mentioned how completely different Olivia and Britney are from one another.
The OP went on to say that the argument started when he intended to order Olivia a chocolate cake for her birthday and planned to place his order over the phone with a bakery. Britney, according to his wife, “really dislikes” chocolate, therefore he should choose vanilla, she said. Below is the story by OP in her own words. We have mixed opinions from the Reddit community. What do you think who is TA here? What would you do if you were in OP’s place? I think OP did the right thing and there is no blame on her. Asking for the iphoen later was a shameful act. Share your opinion in the comment section asyour feedback is important.
