Judge Said ‘Women Can’t Wear Pants In Courtroom’ So This Girl Took Them Off

Are we back in the dark ages?

Because sometimes it feels like that. Even though we are surrounded by technology hence have every type of information in our hands, people still make stupid decisions. Now, there are a lot of sexist people in this world but you wouldn’t expect this from a judge. Aren’t they supposed to uphold the law? How is getting angry that a woman is not wearing pants in any way respectful?

When you go into court, you are supposed to put your personal feelings aside and go through proceedings according to what the law states. That sounds like the start of a bad joke but it gets better.

Well, technically she did what he asked her to do just not in the way he had expected.

Did my work experience aged 17 at a solicitor’s office and it was a rule that women couldn’t wear trousers to court whether magistrates or crown. I cycled everywhere and nowhere had changing facilities so I bought some culottes. –liesinleaves

I mean there is being sexist and there is this. Honestly, what was the point of this? Why can’t women wear pants? Haven’t we been doing just that for so many years?

Why am I not surprised that she is a lawyer now.

I love how everyone was just like “oh Dave is wearing a skirt now.” And went on with their day. –Markfunk94

It would be very uncomfortable and hot but whatever floats your boat.

Must be a philly tradition. Students at Penn in the 70s got rid of the ” jacket and tie must be worn to the dining hall” rule by wearing jackets and ties with no shirts and boxers. –dragon34

I aspire to be this confident.
