3. OP used to work at an upscale restaurant owned by a large corporate entity that owns several different restaurant brands
4. OP’s role at the was a little of everything.
5. OP’s goal while working there was to make himself available for as many hours as possible
6. OP knew that this ultimately meant a few fewer hours since he would only be working one department
7. OP was living in the highly taxed city of Chicago!
8. With his position and some smart budgeting he was able to afford all of this
9. It was noted that OP’s current general manager was going to be fired and replaced
10. Shortly after the new manager came in one of OP’s best managers gave her resignation

13. Since they did not have their own manager they often had to radio for a manager to come to help them out on things that needed a manager card for approval

19. So they told them that they usually have 3 or 4 people scheduled to work in their department
