The world is obsessed with weight.
Now, I’m not going to say that appearances don’t matter. We all judge people based on their appearance at first, whether intentionally or unintentionally, no matter how much we say that personality is what counts. Some of us may disregard that first impression and get to know someone, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t form some sort of bias early on. And this is directly related to how we perceive people who are overweight. While I am not saying that chubby people cannot be beautiful, it is a widely held belief that skinny is attractive. That is, at least, the case for current trends.
If we disregard the point of appearance, as long as you eat healthy most of the time and exercise semi-regularly, it shouldn’t matter how you look. After all, your weight should be a health concern, not a cosmetic one. But that is now how the world sees it, so it is fairly common for others to hire ‘beautiful’ people for jobs that require frequent interactions with customers. That is the focus of today’s story.

Stories like these always boggle my mind.
She starts off by telling us her weight and height which seems pretty healthy to me.
She was looking for a job and went to put in her application.
We also get to know everyone who will be involved in this experience.
She is just filling out her application when another duo enters the office.
The woman breaks the silence first and you can already tell that she is going to be in trouble.
The entitlement was just radiating off this woman.
It is clear that this woman thinks her daughter is gorgeous.
It shouldn’t matter what a person looks like when it comes to a job but it usually does.
I’ve realized that when people say no offence, they mean a lot of it.
The poster of this story was going to walk out but the employee stopped her.
This is when the shoe dropped and the entitled woman was not ready for it.
This was how it ended for the time being.
However, we did get an update and it is clear now that she didn’t get the job.
They might have wanted a permanent employee so it just wasn’t the right fit.
While I am disappointed that she did not get the job, it is clear that it had nothing to do with her appearance. She was only looking for a temporary job, whereas they were looking for a long-term solution. However, it is always refreshing to see rude people who believe that appearance is everything being put in their place. While I can see where she was coming from. However, as a woman, she should try to combat that stereotype rather than promote it.
People really are awful at times.
That is what I was thinking as well. How could she be considered chubby?
Even if she didn’t get the job, I am sure the entitled girl didn’t either.
