30 Dogs That Have The Prettiest Eyes

Eyes are the windows to the soul.

Dogs are known to be adorable and cuddly. Everything about their appearance is cute. Their fluffy fur, cute paws, boop-able noses, and their mesmerising eyes. Even though dogs aren’t very manipulative, unlike cats, their “puppy dog eyes” can make us melt almost immediately. There is no way we can refuse a dog anything once they show us their big, shiny eyes while begging for something. And since we consider eyes to be the windows of the soul, dogs must have absolutely beautiful souls since they have such amazing eyes. Yes, every single one of them. All dogs are beautiful and unique in their own way. Whether they are old, pure breeds or mixed breeds, or even blind, nothing can take away their beauty.

Stevie proved to people that you do not need eyes to be beautiful.

Stevie is a blind and diabetic dog from Louisville, Kentucky. He has been taken care of by his mom Lauren Dietering, courtesy of the Kentucky Humane Society. Stevie is also quite old, so he is considered as one of the elderly dogs. Even though it is not easy taking care of Stevie, Lauren seems to think it is worth it. “We love Stevie dearly, but I am answering this question after he just peed on my foot. He is a pain in the ass, but we feel honored to be his caregivers until he decides to cross the rainbow bridge. We are hoping he makes it at least one more month so we can celebrate his one-year ‘gotcha’ day.”

Stevie is a breath of fresh air for everyone as he tends to get stuck in silly places and share his food with his human friends. When Lauren’s mother suggested that she should submit Stevie’s picture in the challenge, they were not expecting 12k likes and more than a thousand comments. “I received so many comments in such a short amount of time and was trying to respond to them all so fast that Facebook actually put me in jail and restricted my account for ‘abusing the feature.’ I was in jail for three days because of the overwhelming amount of reactions. Ha!”

Then we have the story of Pluto.

Tiegan Lane adopted Pluto by travelling from Magnetic Island to Brisbane, which are almost two opposite corners of Australia. He was brought home at the age of 12 weeks and his shiny blue eyes that resembled galaxies were what drew Tiegan towards him. The pup was named after the Disney character Pluto, and also the planet since he has galaxies in his eyes.

However, they later found out that Pluto was actually deaf. “Pluto is completely deaf. We discovered this a week into having him on a holiday away. He wouldn’t respond to his name or come when we called and would become upset if he couldn’t see us. So we went to a vet and he confirmed that he was deaf. He also looked over Pluto’s eyes and said that it shouldn’t be anything to worry about as he responded to movement. I never intended to have a deaf dog, I applaud those who do. So the surprise of having a deaf dog was a bit rattling, but he has grown on us so much, I wouldn’t change anything,” shared Tiegan.

Thankfully, he is very intelligent and has been trained to understand hand signals. Pluto’s entry was made in the Dogspotting Society after he got praised a lot by people every time he would go out for walks. “He is cute and I want to show everyone just how cute he thinks he is. But I never thought the response to my post would become so big. I remember looking when I had only posted the picture for 43 minutes and it already had over a hundred comments, 3 shares, and 2k likes. I was kind of blown away. It was hectic! It was just pinging constantly, I could hardly get the chance to respond to people.” He also has his own Instagram account.

His eyes are actually shiny.

Okay, this one is definitely a winner with those eyes.
