Animals have an unusual way of expressing their affection.
Some will show it by cuddling with you, while others will bring you birds and rats just to show you how much they care about you. However they express their affection, it is impossible to deny that humans and animals share a special bond that transcends the one between humans. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d rather spend my time with animals than with humans, and many others agree.
They never judge us and are always there for us, even when we make mistakes. The same cannot be said for humans, so it is no surprise that many people nowadays get pets. With the recent quarantine fiasco, many people needed a companion to keep them sane, so they looked into adopting a pet. The same thing happened to me, and I must say it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

I personally think people are wrong when they say that the reason they got a cat was that they don’t need as much care and aren’t too needy. However, in my experience, it depends on the individual animal. My cat for example loves cuddling up with me and will cause chaos if I don’t pick him up like a baby.
