Boss Mistakenly CCs In An Email The Very Employee They Were Discussing To To Terminate

Overhearing someone talking about you is fun, but not so much when they are talking about your termination from your job.

When someone talks bad about you behind your back, it seems as though they have all the power and they can literally do anything. But if you overhear someone talking bad about you, and they think you won’t ever have an idea about said conversation, you then sort of get a sense of power in terms of defending yourself when the right time comes. You know that conversation took place and you catch the person off guard when they least expect it. They never considered you would know what they said about you, and that’s why they confidently create such an opinion about you in the first place. And the advantage of you knowing about it is that they cannot take their words back. So basically overhearing someone sh*t talking about you is a win.

Such an event took place at a workplace our star of the story works. Reddit user u/sat5ui_no_hadou shared that one day their wife received an email from her boss that contained a discussion regarding her soon being fired from the job. Who would ever send such a private discussion about firing an employee to the employee being fired, right? Well, the dumb boss made a mistake and CC’d OP’s wife in the email and that’s how she got to know about what was about to happen.

The internet users shared some comments as well as suggestions as to what should be the employee’s response to this email:

3. I swear as soon as they receive this response, they would all go “Oh sh*t!, we CC’d her.” and that look on their faces would be absolutely hilarious.

7. I think the response to the email should be to only leave if the person who didn’t double-check this email before sending also leaves.

8. OP’s wife still has time maybe she could milk her bosses for a paycheck by calling in sick.

This is honestly so embarrassing for the top management. Unfortunately, now that they are discussing to terminate OP’s wife, it is only inevitable that this happens. I really don’t think there is a way to stop it. So now that the option of retaining the job is gone, the woman should just follow all these Redditors’ advice and respond with the most hilarious email back to her boss. Just squeeze out all the embarrassment so she can get some utility out of this event.

9. Embarrassment level of the boss would be at its peak.
