Brother Refused To Attend Sibling’s Wedding And Didn’t Want To Apologize For It Either

Not attending wedding

Family drama is never fun, especially when it involves weddings. Weddings are supposed to be a celebration of love and happiness. They are events to be remembered forever. Couples, at times, look at their wedding pictures and videos even 20 years after their marriages. That is because that memorable day has a huge significance in life. But sometimes they can also bring out the worst in people. That is right and that is exactly what happened in the story we have got for you guys today.

1. A family drama but over what? Let’s find out.

2.  OP decided to bring up something that happened 10 years ago because it still affects him.

3.  Back then he was only 16 when his brother Shane was getting married. OP was the one who helped them make the best plans while staying within the budget. The plan was to have a child-free wedding but an exception was made for OP because he helped make the event possible.

4. However, just two weeks before the wedding OP was told he wouldn’t be allowed to the wedding….instead he got tasked to babysit the young members of the family.

5. This made OP really angry as he called his brother lots of things a teenager shouldn’t be calling their elder brother. He also didn’t like the fact that he would only be used as a babysitter.

6. After OP refused to babysit, Shane started giving him d*ath threats to somehow convince him to attend the wedding but OP had made up his mind.

This is not nice at all. OP is his brother and he still doesn’t want him to be there. I would’ve understood this policy if it was about not allowing kids under the age of 10 or even 10-year-olds but OP was 16 at the time. Regardless of age, OP helped make the wedding possible. He had planned everything up to the standards of his brother and his fiance while staying within the prescribed budget.

They only wanted to use him and this is just not acceptable. OP did the right thing by refusing to babysit either if he wasn’t invited to the wedding he planned. Let’s see what happens next. Scroll down below to continue reading!

7. For the next ten years, a lot of things happened out of which one event was Shane having two kids but OP never met any of them, and the other event was his SIL wanting to leave his brother.

8. The only way Shane would allow OP to meet his niece and nephew was if his brother apologized to him but OP was clear he would never do that.
