Every place has rules.
Wherever you go, there will be rules that you are expected to follow. Whether these are roads or a coffee place that doesn’t allow you to smoke or isn’t pet friendly. These rules are implemented for a reason. And most of the time, they make complete sense. However, there are times when this isn’t the case and it makes you think as to if the higher-ups had any idea what they were actually doing.
We have all had jobs where there were so many rules that it was basically impossible to do anything without getting into any trouble. And if you don’t know what I am talking about then you should be thankful that you never had to deal with such bosses. But the following people have had first-person experience with these kinds of things. It all started as most things do, on Reddit. Someone asked the people of Reddit to share the stories of their workplace rules that backfired beautifully.

#1 This boss apparently thought restricting bathroom usage was a good idea.
I am pretty sure this is illegal in every country. I understand that some people do spend a lot of time in the bathroom. But who wants to spend so much time in a disgusting cramped place just to get out of work? And he was clearly taking it too far.
#2 To be fair, this rule does make a lot of sense.
Relationships with your co-workers can be quite messy.

Who wears heels when they are going to be running around as a nurse except in TV shows? This was incredibly weird and I am glad the higher-up was fired.

Honestly, driving with money is much safer than walking with a bag filled with money. Foresight was clearly not 100% when it comes to this issue.

I thought everyone was aware of this signal but apparently not. I can just imagine the teachers holding the loser sign and it is honestly hilarious.

I never knew that kittens could look so adorable with bowties. Now I desperately need to find a bowtie for my cat as well.
