There are some people in the world who hate the idea of rejection let alone being rejected. They tend to go crazy because in their lives they never learned for once that someone could say no to them. This kind of people always live on cloud nine, in an imaginary bubble of their own where everything they do is acceptable and correct, and everything the others do is inferior and incorrect. We refer to such beings as “entitled people” and this is all thanks to their inflated egos.
In today’s Reddit story, we have a mother who tried to contact a tutor to have her daughter taught the French language. She wanted her daughter to learn French because they had planned a trip to France later. Having her daughter know how to speak French would make it really easy for them to travel and have a better experience. Cutting off the language barrier is always a good thing. So she decided to engage with a tutor who agreed to teach OP’s daughter French for $40/hour.
This rate was not accepted by this entitled mother as she wanted it to be taught at a much lower rate. Trust me, $40/hour is like a free session because tutors charge up to $400 for a session. The entitled mother got told no and this made her super mad because she couldn’t believe anyone could reject her.

The language barrier can make things a bit difficult especially when you are in a country where you don't know anyone, this happens mostly when you are on a vacation exploring the world. It is a good thing OP wants her daughter to learn French before their trip to Paris. It will make things like traveling or figuring out routes much easier.
#2 OP asked for the rate and, to be honest, got a very reasonable hourly rate. But it was way beyond her expectations and she wanted the tutor to teach at a much lower rate.
#3 Sessions that can cost $500, this woman wants them done at $7 per hour. Wow.
#4 OP is under the impression that it is impossible for a Russian person to know French. How would she support her daughter when she learns French as she isn’t from around there.

It was going smoothly, I mean negotiations are part of the process and we always counter with a super low rate. I was okay with that because my thought process while reading that part was that they will mutually agree on a rate somewhere in the middle.
But when I read the part where OP had no understanding of the fact that how could a Russian know how to teach French, I absolutely lost it. This mother has no brain cells and I can bet her entitled butt will not like it when she loses this deal and the tutor rejects all counters.
