Gifted Sister Gets A Reality Check About Her Entitled Behaviour

When kids grow older, they begin to give greater attention to themselves. This is a completely normal phenomenon that occurs as children become more aware of their own identities and learn about the various cultural and social dynamics that exist around them. It’s normal for children to be uncomfortable with the idea that they are the odd ones out in a group of people. So, in order to blend in with the crowd, they concentrate on their own behavior and appearance to achieve this. Children are under the impression that everyone in the crowd or in their immediate surroundings is only interested in them. Children may develop an egoistic attitude as well as rude behavior. In this way, these kids come to believe that everyone else is “inferior” to them.

In some cases, poor parenting results in children growing up to be completely deprived ones. Parents pay little attention to their children and fail to recognize that their children are growing up with the belief that everyone around them is a jerk and that they are in some way, inferior humans. This method provides children with a concrete reason to behave badly and ultimately they grow up being an assh***.

We came across a Reddit post in which one sister decided to tell her sister the truth, stating that the problem stems from her egoistic attitude rather than the people in her immediate environment. Nora’s parents were frequently called up to her school for a parent-teacher meeting. And whenever they returned home, her parents believed that Nora was being dragged to the average students, and they believed the fact that their daughter is exceptionally intelligent and no one in the class is as intelligent as her.

The sister decided to open up a conversation with Nora and to let her know the actual problem.

We’ve read many stories about parents who refuse to listen to their children, no matter what kind of behavior and attitude they show. Just like in this story, the girl’s parents chastised her for her conversation with Nora and told her the truth about her attitude. They thought the girl was bullying Nora because she was exceptionally intelligent and the girl couldn’t become as smart as her. Still, the girl believes that what she did was both necessary and correct.
She asked the Reddit community if what she did was wrong. To read these supportive comments, just keep scrolling!
