HR Requires Employees To Clock Out Before Using Restroom, Internet Is Outraged

The AntiWork subreddit is where we got this news. The OP basically claims that their firm has changed its policy and now requires all employees to clock out if they need to use the restroom. This is illegal. In the past, the business had been hesitant to implement the regulation because it anticipated negative feedback.

They were accurate. HR, on the other hand, decided to make the regulation official and mandate clocking out for all restroom breaks. If not, they would begin disciplining staff members. a great approach to maintain office morale. In order to keep the “stolen” time, HR was going to deduct it from employees’ paychecks if they refused to clock out. Theft of wages is another name for this. Super illegal once more.

So the OP decided to post this post in the subreddit Antiwork and it got pretty viral. Keep on scrolling down below and make sure you read it until the end otherwise, you are going to miss a lot of points.

13. Prove them wrong asap

Some companies act like they have bought people to complete their chores. It’s literally breaking labor laws that you are not even letting your employees use the restroom. What kind of company is this? I suppose super cheap because they need to acknowledge that employees are the backbone of any company, and what they are doing is totally weird and inappropriate. What if somebody has a medical condition like IBS etc? They would not be allowed to use the toilet? This is absurd and they need to get sued for it.
