Having a child is a draining experience in and of itself, and raising one may push you to the very edge of who you are as a person. In the eyes of the parents, friends, and parents who are prepared to lend a hand during this tough time can seem like a welcome miracle. If the parents initially requested assistance, which the mother-in-law of the OP did not do. OP was five weeks postpartum at the time, and her husband’s mother has since been residing with them.
She feels at ease enough to invite her friends over to witness what a wonderful grandmother she is while she sleeps in their living room. OP is unable to complain since her husband will reprimand her if she says anything unfavorable about her MIL.
According to him, OP ought to be appreciative of everything his mother has done for the family. OP made the decision to put her son first rather than herself. OP still needs assistance from her MIL because she takes care of the baby’s feeding, changing his diapers, and everything else. The one benefit of her MIL remaining there is that she prepares meals for the group. That changed when OP was nursing her infant one evening and arrived late to supper. When OP returned to the living room later, her husband and his mother were watching TV. Her husband indicated the kitchen when the OP enquired about dinner. As OP was going to enter the kitchen, her MIL said that she had not saved any food for her.

OP lost her temper and exclaimed that it was clear that she was hungry because she was breastfeeding a developing child.
MIL simply shrugged and claimed that it wasn’t her fault that the OP didn’t bother to show up for dinner.
OP’s husband chose to support his mother rather than stand up for OP. They continued to dispute, but eventually, OP had enough and asked her brother to pick her up and take her to their mother’s house.
While her husband kept phoning, OP ate everything her brother had brought her on the way over. He demanded that OP come back and stop tormenting him with a lack of food.
Although OP is unsure of how long she will stay at her mother’s house, she insists that her husband is welcome to visit them whenever he wants. However, he refuses to do so because he despises OP’s mother.
OP gave in and provided pictures of their baby napping to her husband, but he used them against her. Additionally, he called OP a b*tch, which startled her greatly.
He responded by emailing a picture of him and his mother preparing supper before informing the OP that they are truly omitting her this time.

It’s horrible that the OP had to inquire as to whether or not she was right to be enraged following what they did to her. Her MIL thought she could invade their home even though she had just given birth, was caring for her newborn around the clock, and was breastfeeding. They couldn’t even be bothered to leave her food.
Anyone would lose it in the circumstance. It would be better for OP and her child if they stayed at her mother’s place indefinitely because they would have everything they need.
