29 Iconic Scenes That Never Made It To The Final Cut Of Harry Potter Movies

You can only put so much in a movie.

If you take my opinion on the Harry Potter series, I would say it is way more than just books or movies. With millions and millions of fans all over the world, J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world has formed into a community gelled together with the strongest adhesive there is. The movies have played a huge part in molding the futures of so many kids in a positive way. Whenever I talk about my childhood, I will always mention Harry Potter. When they announced Fantastic Beasts, I genuinely got goosebumps and I am sure so did you, because all the memories of the wizarding world came right back.

Now if you have read the books, you would know a lot has been cut out of the movies. The overall story remains the same but many details have been excluded because there is a time constraint on movies. During production, the movie is about 10 times the size it is when it is released in the theatres. A lot of the scenes get deleted and don’t make it into the final cut. Now I don’t really know the thought process that goes behind what scene to delete and what scene to cut but it is for sure that the moviemakers have the best interest of the fans in their head before making such a decision. These deleted scenes are then released in an extended cut or as part of a small surprise along with the movie when the Blu-Ray is released.

Today we are going to look at some Harry Potter scenes that didn’t make it to the theatrical cut. And trust me, you’d wish they had kept these scenes in.
