Incompetent Boss Gets Fired After He Asks His Employee To Stop Doing Extra Work

name-calling

Incompetent people can be found everywhere.

And it seems that they always end up in higher-up positions than the people who deserve it. I’m sure we’ve all dealt with managers who believe they know everything and refuse to listen to advice from employees who have been with the company longer. Obviously, this always comes back to bite them, but they never learn. That is also what happened to the protagonist of this story. He started a new job, and he absolutely loved it. He was on the fast track to promotion and was working extremely hard. His work ethic was obvious to everyone around him.

As a result, he was quickly promoted to a position with a significant pay increase but also significantly more responsibilities. This caused him some difficulties in adjusting to his workload, but he was able to do so in a few months as well. That’s when he began assisting other teams. After all, he was already free from his work, so why not assist his coworkers? The manager, on the other hand, was not pleased and asked him to stop. OP requested that statement in writing and maliciously followed his boss’s orders. This obviously caused a lot of problems in the warehouse, but he was quickly promoted out of that position.

This is where the story previously ended, but we now have a long-awaited update to see what happened to the inept manager. See for yourself by scrolling down.

Though this is an update, we do get a short version of the previously told story as well.

But first, we need to get the names and unnecessary stuff out of the way.

As he had previously stated, OP stopped helping his co-workers on his boss’s orders.

This caused a lot of issues but it wasn’t his responsibility anymore.

This led to the owner asking OP to go back to his job but he refused.

After all, he wasn’t going to work under that manager.

The lack of productivity in that department was felt everywhere.

This is when things took a turn and OP was propositioned for a new position.

His co-worker was promoted to be the new manager as well.

And that is why he accepted the new position.

I am glad that things worked out for him.

I’m not surprised that the manager was let go. Although it did take them a long time, However, I can see why the manager asked him to stop assisting his coworkers. After all, he wasn’t being paid to do it. However, he should have been more perceptive and realised that he needed to step up before he could refuse the assistance. He simply shot himself in the foot with that one, and everything that followed was his fault.

Sounds like a great boss to me.

I also hope the new manager is better.

Happy endings are a rare case on Reddit.
