Manager Didn’t Want To Pay Overtime He Promised, So All Employees Quit Their Posts And He Gets Demoted

The perception of overtime varies from person to person. It may not be a bad thing for some people to work overtime if the extra money is needed. Some people, however, wouldn’t give up any of their free time for anything. It’s okay for people to do what they think is best for them, and they both have a right to do so. But what about the times when we aren’t the ones making the decision? If we are required to work overtime when we don’t want to, what can we do? As long as there is a great need for it, we think it’s okay, but there needs to be adequate compensation for it. Moreover, it should not be made a company policy. However, it appears that not all employers or organizations are sincere in their intentions when it comes to honesty.

Reddit user @Log Leader, who shared his job story online, says that’s what happened to him. He was already overworked when he was asked to work on his day off by his manager. After that, he had another day off. His acceptance was based on his belief that he would receive compensation. Sadly, that did not happen. In response, he gave his managers an ultimatum and acted when they ignored him. Check out his story down below and if you’re a manager here, please use it as a guidebook on how not to do things.
