There was no getting around the: professional jobs are usually complicated adventures that can cause significant shame, total humiliation, lightheadedness, and a huge amount of anxiety. So I can go for a job interview, I sweat as though it’s 100-degree days outside because I’ve just successfully completed a marathon. After just a few bites of Kung Pao chicken, I resemble George Costanza. Because I’m nervous, I stutter and crack bad jokes. Needless to say, there haven’t been many job offers. Who wants to work with a person who can’t recall their own name?
While interviewing experiences it has been less than phenomenal, a thread shared by Twitter user @arb has made many realize that I’m not the only one who has experienced cringe and rejection. She asked people to share the stories of their worst-ever job interviews in order to gain moral support (presumably after a demoralizing experience). And boy, did they ever deliver.
