I really didn’t think this would be a universal phenomenon but it is. All kids have a weird obsession. Some of the obsessions I have read about so far, I have had the same and I didn’t think they were weird at that time, and I sure neither did these kids. But to the parents, they will always be now, and they seem weird to me as well.
