Bride Calls Off The ‘$100k’ Wedding Because Of Groom’s Mother

Sometimes you just can’t stop laughing.

No matter how hard you try. Once you have a giggling fit, it can be impossible to stop. So I don’t blame this guy for laughing when his Uncle was telling how his son’s wedding was ruined because of his wife and how so much money was wasted. I am well aware of how this sounds. And the guy was clearly feeling quite bad and laughing in his face was probably just salt in his wound. You see his son’s wedding had been called off by his son’s fiance because his wife wouldn’t stop hounding the bride.

From fighting about things that ultimately didn’t matter to not letting the bride and groom sleep in the same room. He was obviously looking for sympathy, not people who couldn’t stop laughing at his misfortune. It all seemed like a dream wedding at first and the groom’s father was footing all of the bills.

However, things didn’t end up all rainbows and flowers as the bride and the mother-in-law couldn’t stop fighting.

I can’t imagine laughing at this sort of thing but perhaps it was the way he was telling them?

To be honest, He should have stopped telling the story if he didn’t like how they were reacting.

I’m going to say NTA. First of all. Clearly, you guys know this woman and her antics that caused the bride to take off aren’t a shock. Plus this whole thing sounds ridiculous. But also, a lot of people react to uncomfortable and even upsetting situations with laughter. So I get why the more he got upset the harder it was to stop laughing. –simplygrimly
