A lot of us consider adopting a pet when life treats us badly so that we have a reason to smile again. They show us what’s it like on the other side of the rainbow. They introduce us to the flip side of the picture we have of this world inside our heads. They teach us how to cherish the gift of life and how to live in the moment. They’re just so full of love in ways unknown to us humans.
