The bond formed between an owner and his/her pet animal is formed based on a give-and-take relationship. Yes, it is not always us providing them with all the love, care, joy, and happiness, or at least trying to achieve any one of the emotions I just mentioned. Out pet animals feel a sense of gratitude for their owners and like to provide back by making their owners feel similar kinds of emotions, it’s just that their way of giving back could be slightly different as compared to their humans’ but the underlying concept remains the same, and that is to scream “I love you” through their acts. The love our pets receive provides them with a sense of family. In fact, when it comes to dogs, they consider their owners as part of a pack with their kids and their owners’ family involved.
One unique way our pet animals like showing gratitude, love, care, and support is by wanting to gift things to their owners.
Pets feel a strong desire to contribute to the group, as I said they consider their owners a major and significant part of it. This sense of belonging and attachment is the reason why pets often bring back gifts to their owners. It could be anything from a toy, a stick, a piece of food that they have found or received as a reward, or even a hunted mouse in some cats’ cases. Often not knowing what to bring home for their owners but wanting to bring something results in dogs bringing home other, alive and healthy, animals. For some reasons only dogs know, they manage to become friends with a stranger animal when they are out having a good time and somehow, they convince that animal to return home with them.
How these gifts are received by the owners of these pet animals and how they react to these gifts, is a whole different story. You guys see, for a cat to present someone with a creature it hunted by putting in all its efforts is something that makes it feel really proud and cats only do it for what they truly love and care for. On the other hand, a dead mouse won’t be adding any value to a human’s life so you already know what they will be doing to it. But please try to smile as much as you can in front of your cat when it presents you with such a gift because we do not want to break any hearts here.
Today, we will be enjoying a compilation of pictures in which we can see pet animals bringing gifts for their owners to pay the highest gratitude for existing in their lives and providing them with the best life ever.
