Cats are all adorable and gorgeous but have you seen a wet cat!?
God! They look absolutely weird and hilarious when they are all wet. Every cat owner would know and can relate to this. One of the most common and famous facts about a cat is that they hate water, especially house cats. Giving them a bath is a big struggle and you will definitely get injured while giving a bath to them as they are going to scratch you up! Although not every cat does that, a majority of them do. On the other hand, if you start giving a bath to your kitty from a young age, they won’t fear it as much as a conventional cat does. Also, a majority of indoor cats would barely get dirty as long as they are grooming themselves regularly.
A wet cat’s fur weighs them down and since they are used to cleaning themselves up with their tongue, they don’t really see the point in taking a bath. Now the question is, how often should you bathe an indoor cat? As per the National Cat Groomers of America, you should give a bath to your cat every 4-6 weeks and don’t forget to blow dry them as well, which will keep their coats from getting matted. Do cats feel good after a bath? Well, that remains a mystery. Mostly after you’ve given them a bath, they would spend hours licking their fur till it gets completely dry and there’s not even a single drop of water left in it. On the other hand, if you have already blowdried your cat’s hair, it might feel relaxed but that doesn’t mean they love or enjoy taking a bath! They simply hate it.
