Best of them all, PD Max!
We have heard countless astounding and inspirational stories related to dogs saving their owners and other people. It is just beyond our capability to understand how dogs are so intelligent, sensible, and caring. But what I am completely sure of is that they totally are all of these qualities mentioned above and many more. Dogs have always been our saviors by doing heroic acts. Their love for human beings is intrinsic and unconditional. Dogs are easily trained and quick learners with trained properly and attentively. They have been used in special operations and wars, police dogs for help in common crimes, and many more. Their magnificence is underestimated, there are so many incredible things a dog can do. They keep coming up with mind-blowing acts to amaze us.
Police dogs form an incredible and very strong bond with their owners, coworkers, or partners. Whatever you may call it but they are best buddies to dogs. They build a respectful, obedient, and powerful bond with their officers that never fades away.
There is this one specific police dog called Max. He proved to be the best and most responsible police dog on duty when he found a missing mother-daughter on the first day of his first mission. 1. PC Pete Lloyd and PD Max! A great pair of coworkers.
It was August 1st, just before midnight when Dyfed-Powys Police received a call. A missing mother with her one-year-old was reported. The mother’s phone could not be contacted and they were missing for two days. Everyone was immediately concerned for the safety of the missing mother and the daughter. Many officers were sent out for investigation and to try to retrace her footsteps from her home. They found her car eventually, it was parked on a mountain road. It gave them a good starting point but the worry was that there was still a lot of ground to cover and search around.
Dyfed-Powys Police said in a post on their website:
“This is where PD Max’s tracking skills really came into play. Despite only recently becoming licensed, and on his first operational shift, he immediately commenced an open area search.”
“Thankfully, after an hour-and-a-half of searching, the mum and baby were found. They were safe, but cold, and appeared to have been in the area for a significant amount of time.”
“This was a fantastic coordinated and determined team effort from everyone involved, which no doubt ensured the safety of the mum and baby who were at significant risk of harm.”
“I must give a special mention to PC Pete Lloyd and Max, who on their very first day since completing their training together covered a significant amount of mileage in the search, eventually locating them safe.”
2. Our favorite police dog and officer duo.
No doubt PC Pete Lloyd and PD Max make an excellent pair of coworkers and partners! They did an incredible job together, the teamwork was very impressive. Here is the tweet from Dyfed-Powys Police congratulating PC Pete Lloyd and PD Max on the success of their first mission together.
