You should always try to rescue if you can.
I mean, there are so many cats and dogs in the world that don’t have a home. And they just roam around in the street starving. Why is it that people tend to buy beautiful pure-breed animals from horrible breeders when they can give a home to loving animals who will be thankful all their lives? The following pictures prove just that. Animals can be quite loyal once they learn to trust a human and these animals clearly love their owners.
You are not only saving a life but it also benefits you. The little creature will stay beside you until their life ends and try to make you happy whenever they can. Basically, it is a creature whose whole world revolves around only one person and that is you. So that is why we always say ‘adopt, don’t shop.’ Some people might prefer a particular breed, but if you are willing to get a pet, try to find what you want at a rescue shelter.
And you can see why I am saying this by scrolling below.

#19 Cats can have the most unique eyes ever.
So many animals get euthanized every day because there is not enough space in shelters. Even if people who work at rescue centres want to do their best, there is never enough funding. And we just exasperate the issue by buying a pet instead of adopting one. This can help shelters in the long-term and also save many animals’ lives. So if you are thinking of getting a pet, please adopt.
