Boss Forces Employee To Take Prank Calls Seriously, Immediately Regrets It

Prank calls aren’t even funny.

I know a lot of people love prank calls and absolutely go to town calling up every place they can think of but I think it is just annoying. I can understand ranking your friends but what I don’t understand is when these people try to prank businesses. I mean, don’t they understand that the person on the other end of the line is probably dealing with a lot already and don’t need this? Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love watching prank call videos where Youtubers prank scammers and such but that is all for wasting the scammer’s time, this is simply not okay.

Not only that but due to the quarantine, people are not only ordering a lot of food at home which means busy restaurants but people also have a lot of free time. And this obviously means that there is a significant rise in prank calls. And no matter how funny your drunk mind thinks you may be, it is usually very unoriginal and doesn’t make the employee’s day any better. That is what kept happening to this particular business but instead of letting it go the manager forced the employees to take prank calls seriously. As you can imagine, it didn’t go well.

Right from the start, we can understand that the number of prank callers has risen a lot in recent times.

Not only that but most of them are clearly unoriginal and boring.

But the manager does not like that one bit and forces the employee to do as he says.

So the malicious compliance starts right then especially when they get another prank call.

Now the manager is obviously losing his mind but the employees get to work anyway.

As you can imagine, they soon got another text that stopped this from ever happening again.

What did the manager think would happen anyway? Does he really think that you can convince a drunk prank caller to actually order something? That usually does not happen and also the employees have other things that they need to be doing rather than humoring prank calls. I understand that the worker made a mistake but more likely is that the prank caller only called back to get the employee in trouble.

That person clearly just wanted to get the employee in trouble and nothing else.

I am pretty sure that is exactly what happened.

I honestly feel for people who work in this industry because it sounds like hell to me.

There was another commenter who share his own experience and I am glad that he does not work there anymore.
