20 Times Twitter Users Had Enough Of Sexism And Called It Out

Sexism has been ingrained in our culture.

While there have been many strides made since the dawn of feminism, we are still not close to being done by the looks of it. Some people might say women already have equal rights but that cannot be further from the truth. From women still being afraid when they go out alone for a walk to guys not understanding when they are making someone uncomfortable, there are so many things still wrong with our society.

And Twitter is a place where people don’t take this sort of bull. And these people have risen up and made statements about things that somehow seem normal to many women. Like ‘boys just being boys’ when they leer at someone or take it further and think a woman is supposed to serve them and be at their beck and call. This may seem like an exaggeration or like I am describing the past but it still happens and we need to talk about it.

Even if it may be in the form of jokes.

And this is not just towards men. There are many women as well who are just as much a detriment to feminism. We all have unconscious bias that we have learned from our surroundings as we are brought up and it is very hard to break from that.

#11 Everyone should know how to do these basic things.
