These moments were totally improvised and weren’t part of the script.
Marvel Cinematic Universe has enchanted the entire world via its amazing innovations and creations. Yes, I am talking about all the infamous movies that they have released. They must be really lucky because it is very surprising how none of their movies really flopped. I think it is a psychological effect that they have managed to create over the years, that the fans are so immersed into the experience, no movie feels bad as it is almost necessary to watch all of them know what happens next. Well played, Marvel.
Now, the cast that they selected for their blockbusters is inch-perfect. They suit their roles so much, it’s like they were always meant to play those roles. Over the years, the actors and actresses dive deep into their roles and sort of develop an understanding of them. This level of perfection is why we see so many moments in the Marvel movies that are completely unscripted and just amazing improvisations of the cast.
Today we are going to look at some on spot improvisations by the cast in the MCU movies that were so good, the directors decided to leave them in there

1. This scene from the second Avengers movie was improvised by Tony Stark

Robert Downey Jr. had fully familiarized himself with the goofy side of Tony Stark and hence you see this childish side of him while searching for the mad scientist.
2. This story about how Loki turned into a snake to scare Thor was an improvised scene from the movie Thor: Ragnarok.

He tells the story so efficiently, it feels as though it was part of the script.
3. Peggy was never meant to touch Steve’s pecs in this scene from the first Captain America movie. She did it involuntarily and the scene was kept in the movie.

Hayley said it automatically happened when Chris took off his shirt.
4. This scene from Spiderman: Homecoming was originally meant to be a hug between Tony and Peter, but RDJ improvised on the spot and turned it into a funny scene.

This was hilarious.
5. This classic “Get Help!” was never part of the script, Chris Hemsworth wanted to do it so bad so he did it and the scene was kept in the movie as Taika loved it so much.

It did show us some bonding between the two brothers and it felt cute.
6. The Gorilla grunts was Winston Duke’s idea, and the rest cast followed in order to shut Martin Freeman’s character up. You can see it in the film, Freeman was caught off guard.

This scene should true assertiveness of M’Baku.
7. Being the joker that Sam Jackson is, in the movie Captain Marvel he checked the skrulls’ underparts just to be sure and this is scene was not in the script.

Old-time Nick Fury was a legend.
8. In this scene from Spiderman: Far From Home, Fury was originally meant to say “You’ve been to space” but improvised and added, “Bitch please!” which made the scene more fun and realistic.

9. RDJ used to always keep snacks around while shooting as he had a habit of munching. This scene where Stark offers snack to Cap was not scripted.

10. Michael was never supposed to say “Hey Aunties” when he say Queen mother for the first time, he just improvised it based on his understanding of the character.

Michael B. Jordan is one of the best MCU villains ever.
11. In this scene, Tom actually forgot to move so RDJ could sit, so he broke the character still being his Stark self, and told him to move so he could sit.
The scene was done so effortlessly that it felt like they had planned it.

This just shows how jam-packed all these actors are with talent. Coming up with such amazing improvisations right on the spot is not easy. You would expect them to go into the blooper reel, having no idea that they would become some of the best dialogues ever delivered in the MCU.
12. There were a lot of unscripted scenes in Avengers: Infinity War and this war cry from Chadwick was one of those moments. This was loved by the whole world.

This scene gave me goosebumps.
13. Thor hung up his hammer while he thought the cameras were off, the scene was so random that it ended up feeling funny and they kept it in.

This is new info, I thought this scene was always meant to be in there.
14. This unscripted scene where Thor breaks the coffee cup showing his liking for the drink, was kept in the movie because the president of Marvel loved it.
The legacy of this scene was continued as you can see in the Disney+ show Loki, he does the same.

15. This line that Thor utters loudly to the Grandmaster was put in on the request of child from Make-A-Wish.

Hemsworth said that he asked the child for anything they wanted him to do, and that’s when he has suggested this line. To pay homage, this was used in the final cut.
16. The “Why is Gamora?” was never meant to be a part of this scene where Guardians and Avengers meet for the first time.
Drax being Drax just made it up on the spot and it ended up being one of the best lines in MCU.

17. Jeremy is pretty funny in real life and he showcased his joking abilities in a scene in the second Avengers movie, which was totally unscripted.

18. In the original edit, there was no “I am Iron Man”. Stark was supposed to snap without saying anything but the silence felt weird so RDJ came up with this solution.
It ended up being the heart of The Infinity Saga.

19. Wong confirmed that the witty inclusion of Beyonce in one of Strange’s jokes was an improvisation by Benedict.

It showcased the sarcastic side of Dr. Strange really well.
20. Believe it or not, this entire death scene of Stark from the movie Avengers: Endgame was improvised by Gwyneth and Tom Holland. There were only 4 people present on set that day and they just came up with the whole thing on the spot.

21. The scene that broke all our hearts was an improvisation.
Tom was told to act like he didn’t want to leave and that is exactly what he said.
