20 Movie Facts That Are Bound To Make You Smile

Movie facts are the best source of happiness.

The movies we see on the cinema screens or at homes once they come out on disk or online really is an experience. The entire crew behind the screen and the acting cast on the screen give it their everything to make it their best project to date and to each the ultimate goal which is to provide the viewer a very immersive, quality, electrifying, emotions exploiting experience, and to make them keep watching it again and again. For us, the viewers, it is a2 to 3-hour experience packed with all the goodness, for the moviemakers, it is a whole process. They take on this 2-year long journey and go through a lot of ups and downs to achieve what we see.  The blooper reel is just a short preview of what really happens on a set. A lot of drama happens on the set.

1. Chirs Pratt, who played Star-Lord in the movie series Guardians of the Galaxy, took the character’s costume from set in order to wear it at charity events and for hospital visits when needed.

2. Our Rambo, Sylvester Stallone, after finishing filming for Rocky decided to take 2 turtles from the set. He has them for over 45 years now.

3. A lot of honors and items like Professor Hawking’s signed thesis and medals we see in the movie The Theory Of Everything are actually real and were donated by him to the university..

4. A stray cat found its way on the sets of Godfather and the directors decided to make it part of the movie, the cat was not originally planned for the film. Marlon Brando had to reshoot some of his scenes to incorporate the cat into the movie.

5. As an exercise for new managers, NASA plays the classic space movie Armageddon and ask them to find all the illogical scenes and errors in the movie.

6. In the making of the movie Elizabeth, The Golden Age, they had to do some construction at the St. Paul’s Cathedral to enhance the set, so they took actual construction workers, made them wear character costumes, and involved them in the movie.

7. Georgie Henly actually wore a blindfold while playing Lucy so when she met Mr. Tumenus for the first time, her reaction would be super real and as genuine as possible.

8. The scene in the movie Pretty Woman where Richard Gere slams the jewelry set on Robert’s fingers was pre-planned for the bloopers but actually ended up making into the final cut.

9. Cinderella was voiced by voice actor Ilene Woods. There’s a hilarious story about the time she took her daughter to the screening of the movie and the little one started screaming in the theatre that her mother is Cinderella. People nearby starting laughing in awe.

10. The cornfields you see in the background of this scene from the movie Interstellar, were actually grown up by the filmmakers. The 500 acres of corn were later sold for a profit.

Wow! This really does put a smile on my face. This is so cute, the journey that these characters go on and the deep efforts that they put in for the smallest of scenes, shows pure dedication and affection towards the profession.

11. In the movie  I am Legend, Will Smith’s love for his dog was the same off-set. So much so, that he tried to adopt it but the dog’s trainer refused to let it go.

12. The sound of the velociraptors in the new Jurrasic Park movie was voiced by tortoises.

13. In the film Wizard of Oz, one of the color horses was actually covered in gelatin. They had to shoot the scene really quickly because the horse kept licking the gelatin off.

14. In the infamous movie The Shawshank Redemption, Tim Robbins had to time his dialogue and learn squeaking patterns of Jake the crow in order to deliver dialogues without any interruption.

15. The director of Slumdog Millionaire kept the payment of the three child actors in a trust which was to pay the children when they reached the age of 16.
