Woman Adopts A Pitbull, And The Dog Can’t Stop Hugging Her

Pitbulls are known to be good-natured, extremely loyal, intelligent, and very courageous guard dogs with an undiluted focus. These dogs make a great house pet if they are trained and socialized during their early phase, when they are puppies, by a proper trainer. These dogs also serve as a huge support system for someone going through a rough patch in life when even humans can’t help them.

This story is about a  student named Kayla Filoon who volunteers as a dog walker at an animal shelter in Philadelphia. She saw Russ and their hearts immediately clicked. She knew she needed to rescue the poor dog who clearly needed medical aid. “He came in as a stray, and he was really beat up,” Filoon explained. “He was missing fur on his tail and ears. He was also terribly skinny.” The 20-year-old woman explained, “He was just sitting there calmly, staring at me… And I thought… I need to take him now.”

Filoon was aware of what happens when animals don’t get adopted in an animal shelter for quite some time. She did not want the same fate for this doggo! This animal shelter had already put down 15 animals recently. She said, “Any dog had a chance of being put down, especially the ones who were sicker, and Russ was definitely one of them,”

Then, the next day, Kayla headed and took care of the adoption papers. She relays a very cute incident, saying “One night I’m sitting there on the chair, doing my homework, and he’s trying to find ways to cuddle with me,” There bond is so beautiful that even their picture went viral on social media and melted so many hearts! In Kayla’s words, “He’s such a love bug, honestly.”
