I also have a similar experience to share.

I remember my friend applied for 3 leaves out of his 7 available paid leaves to attend the wedding of his sister, his very own biological sister. He thought getting a leave would be not a problem because he had once applied for a 7-day leave about 3 years ago to go on a trip. I was part of that trip and HR accepted his leave request within 6 hours. But this time it took time and when he did get a response, it was a rejection. He couldn’t believe it, and there was no way he was going to miss his sister’s wedding. So, he gave in his 2-week notice and within an hour he got an email to ignore the previous email about leave rejection and that his leave had been accepted. My friend has a very wealthy father so he attended his sister’s wedding, got paid, and still left the company.

These terrible bosses do not realize the true worth of their employees and it is impossible for an organization to survive like this. So bad!
