Nobody likes the doctor.

And no I am not saying we all hate doctors as people because that is not true. However, going to a clinic or hospital is never done under great circumstances and it always brings back bad memories. So why wouldn’t cats feel the same? After all, they always get poked and prodded whenever they visit the vet so it is perfectly normal for them to wanna hide when they reach the dreaded place.

Although not all cats choose the most appropriate places. I suppose they adhere to the statement, ‘If I can’t see them, they can’t see me.’ So when one Twitter user shared a photo of their cat ‘hiding’ when in the vet’s office, the Internet was ready to share even more. And soon enough we had all kinds of cats in sinks, trash cans, cupboards and basically everywhere. And you can take a look at all these pictures for yourself by scrolling below.

While there is not much we can do to make cats feel comfortable in a completely new environment. Some people get great results by having a home appointment for their cats. However, if that is not possible, bringing loads of treats and keeping them entertained while the vet checks them over is also a good idea. I can’t promise that will always work but it is definitely worth a try.
