The fatter, the cuter, the better!
Many of us dread of getting fat and out of shape while sitting in our homes, but guess who don’t worry about it at all? Animals, of course. Only animals have the luxury of looking cute even when they are all chubby and fat. They are also free from the body shaming that humans mostly are the subject of when they get fat. So in case of animals, it is a win-win situation!
Animals can also gain weight if their movement is restricted. Pets often tend to have these fat rolls as they rarely leave homes and stay indoors all the time. Even if they go out, it is for a short walk with their owners or likewise. Other than the behavior pattern, genetic problems can also result into weight gain in animals. But, whatever the reason, we can not deny that they look cuter when they are all chubby and plump.

Although these extra fats add into the cuteness of our animals, they have adverse effects on their health. Many diseases arise in pets, putting their life in danger. Wild animals rarely suffer from obesity as they are always on the move and do not get their food easily. While pets become fat because of great nutrition intake and less movement in and out of the homes. But how would you know that your pet has gained weight? Usually the fats around tail, belly and paws hint at the extra weight your pet is putting on.
Many diseases can occur in animals because of obesity such as diabetes, pancreatitis and joint disorders etcetera. In order to save your pet from all this trouble, you should monitor their food intake and exercise habits. Less food and longer walks or exercises can help your pet in shedding that extra weight.
