Clean plate policy can ruin your kid’s health. It can lead to weight-related issues and eating disorders.
It’s good to care for your kids and make them eat healthily but sometimes kids find it too annoying. Parents, we understand your concern that you want your kid to try out new things but what if your kids do not want to eat that food? What would you do then? Would you forcefully make them eat it or introduce the new “clean plate” policy? Today, we have a story of a kid whose dad is a member of the “clean plate club” and would force his family to eat everything that is served whether they like it or not. This kid came up with a perfect plan. Scroll down to read the whole story.
Rule: We don’t waste food in this house.
This rule can lead to weight issues and eating disorders.
There was a food dad didn’t like and didn’t serve himself any that day.
My plate is empty.
Woah! OP followed the rule.
OP found an alternative plate cleaning method. Since dad never specified that the food had to be eaten, OP took advantage of the loophole. We are glad that at least dad showed a little change and stopped forcing them to eat they didn’t like. Well, parents should understand not everyone can eat everything. Some people don’t like the taste and some are just allergic to some foods. It’s better not to force your kids otherwise your kids will fall terribly sick. Many people have bad relationships with food due to the clean plate club.
Dad tried to feed his baby liver food, baby kept spitting it out until dad tried it and spit it out too.
No one cleaned their plate that night.
Know your kids’ allergies before forcing them to eat everything you want them to eat.
Stop forcing your kids. Parents, take notes.
To all the clean plate club members, it’s high time that you change for good. Eating is not everything, important thing is to enjoy food. Dinner time should not be torture for the kids. Don’t become a reason for your kids’ eating disorders. Let them enjoy whatever food they want to.
