1. OP’s mother and father got divorced when he and his twin brother were 13 because he was having an affair with her now stepmom and she was terrible to OP’s mother

2. OP’s father had 3 children and her stepmom had 3 daughters from the previous marriage the affairs started 2 years before their father had died
3. During the divorce OP’s paternal grandparents were not happy about the affair and made sure that his new family was not welcome
4. OP’s grandparents are wealthy and in their family tradition when you get married you and your spouse are gifted with a set of jewelry to pass down to children
5. Now OP’s twin is getting married to his long-time girlfriend and OP’s grandparents are paying for their wedding
6. OP was having dinner with his dad’s family and their stepsister was upset about something so the younger brother asked what was wrong and she got upset, apparently OP got to know she asked OP’s grandparents the color of the jewelry she was getting
7. So the OP’s grandparents don’t have a relationship with her and other stepsister the way they had with OP, and when she asked about the jewelry they told her that she wasn’t getting anything like that, especially how she behaved when the affair came out.
