Some of us enjoy watching movies and TV series that are really creepy. But reading a scary story just makes us feel completely different. It makes us use our own imagination, almost as if we are an actual part of the story, feeling and going through it ourselves instead of watching someone else do it. One amazing thing about reading is that we don’t actually have to physically experience it all. Just reading is enough!
These stories that we’ve got for you today are going to do the same for you. Sure, they are creepy and disturbing (might even give you nightmares) but, you can have comfort in knowing that though they are possible, it’s not happening with you. You are just spectating! However, this is not merely just a work of fiction, but actual stories told by real people on Tumblr! People started telling their stories under the “scary story” tag and it kept going. It’s still unsettling to know that these were experiences that people had gone through.

1. The road beyond the stop sign

The transition was sudden, an unexplained feeling took over. the thing that needs to be pondered is that what happened to their thought process and memory? Did the memory stay back in the previous world? Do they have to start over once they’ve transitioned into a new world? Perhaps a world of immortals?

Those disturbing pleading eyes asking for help, but why would a child ask for help while being with his mother. The matter for sure is something else.
Well, that’s bone-chilling. Where must have the woman taken the child? But before that where was his wife, herself? If she has died months or probably years before, would she kill her own child to take him along, or Maybe she never died, she just escaped!

Well, the haunting doesn’t really appear right away, it comes from the darkness and drags you along
Maybe it was engulfing you, taking you in with it across the darkness.
It all makes sense now, it has been stated that spirits have an intense weight that’s difficult for our usual bodies to bear. The spirit might have penetrated the boy’s soul, blinding him not to see the world the way he wanted, rather see it the way she wanted him to see…

Even death didn’t do them apart instead, it brought them closer. She could watch over easily, she could love him without uttering a single word and she could be with him every second of the day.

They tell you they are there, and that you’ve invaded their privacy. But why does it always happen at night?

The lagoon might be very beautiful to look at the water sparkling and clear but who knows of the darkness that lies beneath those sparkles at the surface. The lower you swim the faster it takes you in. The boy who died might have let out friendly secrets to the waters of the lagoon, and it promised to bring down all rest of his friends so he doesn’t miss them.
9. Connected to the dead old lady
You made memories while she was around, you grew up in front of her and she cherishes the memories you’ve made in the house because after all she never left even if she was dead.
10. The man-eaters from nowhere
There must be something shady about them that everybody gathered up to see…
Walking but no dirty feet? Healthy but stuck by famine? Foreigners but so well informed of the local language that’s pretty strange.
No wonder why they fled, they might have eaten their whole town up or probably many various towns up. Here they were at their next target.
11. The spirits watch over us
Strange but maybe the spirit is there to help fix the bike… Let’s not freak out right away
They appear only where they want to be seen, nowhere else
These kinds of incidences are pretty common if sudden deaths take place at a settlement, the spirits are thought of being around in the same area probably to take revenge or just to live peacefully, you never know…

The world is full of weird things. Not everybody gets to experience creepy and weird things but most of us have come across at least one instance where we have been scared to the gut. It’s not every time the spirits ghosting around, sometimes it’s the demons and monsters within people who turn out to be the bad guys.
