When it comes to our furry friends, we usually say we’d do anything for them, but one Redditor recently found herself in an awkward position when she was asked to pay for both her mother’s surgery and her dog’s medical bills at the same time. The story’s twists and turns will have the reader wondering whether or not she’s being an a-hole. But Oh jeez, we’ll have to read until the end because the title makes the entire story sound extremely dramatic. We’d like to read the entire story, but there has to be a reason for this. Maybe the mom had people pay for her surgery, or maybe the dog’s surgery was considerably less expensive. In any case, the dog is her responsibility, so she should pay for him; no one else will!
There are many stories on the internet where these pets have caused lots of trouble for families or in relationships. Like there are many families who force their kids to live with the pets, despite the fact that their kids are allergic to them, ultimately it results in a terrible situation. But these problems can be resolved by discussing them with your loved ones. When this young girl reached the age of eighteen, she was asked to move our from her parents’ house.
The original poster should remind her parents of how unpleasant this experience was for her and how she can blame them for doing so. It looks like their heinous behavior has resulted in a huge rift in their relationship. A major contributing factor to the lack of strong relationships between parents and their children is the requirement for children to move out when they reach the age of 18.
Her father asked for some financial help because her mother got a mass and that needs to be removed.
Unfortunately, her dog needed emergency surgery, and she had to spend huge chunk of her savings on it. Later, family members assumed she was unconcerned about her mother.
Such an awful situation it was!
We’re sure you’re thinking that the girl isn’t wrong in her situation and that what she did was correct. Obviously, she has a pet, and she is responsible for her care. This pet was her responsibility and completely reliant on her. That poor soul might not have lived much longer if she hadn’t spent money on the doggo’s surgery.
On the other hand, if parents ask their children to leave their home knowing that their children may face problems in the future, it is not the children’s responsibility to pay bills or assist their parents financially.
