If someone is invited to your home as a guest, it is your duty to give them some respect and make them comfortable at your home. Well, some people are terrible hosts and they refuse to accept it. A girl took to Reddit to share her experience as a guest at her boyfriend’s parents’ house. OP was going to meet her boyfriend’s parents for the first time. It was Canadian Thanksgiving and they fly over to her boyfriend’s parents’ house. They were supposed to stay there from Sunday till Monday afternoon.

The boyfriend’s parents picked them up from the airport and took them home. The first question they asked was if she had drugs in her bag and she told them she only has “Tylenol”. Then, they showed her the guest room where she was supposed to stay. During dinner, they asked her to pay $30 for her portion of the dinner. OP was shocked and didn’t pay. She confronted her boyfriend about this and he told her that his parents do this to their friends as well. The boyfriend’s mom came and took her to her room. This is the first time we are hearing that someone is being asked to pay for a meal while they were the guests. OP did not ask to be a guest at her bf’s parent’s house. Her bf and his parents invited her over to their house and now asking her to pay for the dinner. It is ridiculously weird. Let us know in the comment section if it is a normal thing in Canada.
