Grandson Was Born On Grandma’s Birthday, Grandma Wants Daughter-in-Law To Celebrate Her Son’s Birthday On Another Day

Some people throw big parties on their birthdays.

No doubt, everyone is excited about their birthdays but would you be as excited as this woman? This woman who celebrates all of her birthdays and throws big parties. A new mother took it to Reddit to share how her mother-in-law did not want her to go into labor when her birthday was coming. She gave birth to her son on her mother-in-law’s birthday. Mother-in-law came to the hospital for just ten minutes and then went away because she had plans and all. One year later, mother-in-law’s birthday and OP’s son’s birthday was coming on Saturday. They held their birthdays on the same day but MIL was not happy with it. So, she told OP to change her plans and hold her son’s birthday on another day as it would not matter to her son when his birthday was celebrated. OP did not like the idea and refused it immediately. Scroll down to see what they did next.

Mother-in-law’s birthday party was as important as OP’s son’s birthday party since it was his first birthday. Also, turning 50 is a big milestone. They should have compromised and have a joined birthday party or have son’s birthday party in the morning and MIL’s birthday party in the night. A kid’s first birthday party holds great importance in parents’ lives. Maybe this is why OP wanted to celebrate it on the same day.

6. This is why OP could be the AH:
