Guy Goes Full Passive-Aggressive ‘Karen’ On Landlord Who Threatened Him With Eviction

Going full Karen is never recommended.

While it is true Karens are usually middle-aged women with that infamous pixie-but-not-really-pixie haircut. In reality, the name Karen goes for anyone who always wants to go over your head and speak to the manager. And sometimes it is needed to get out the big guns to acutely deal with these sorts of people.

However, in this case, the guy who went full Karen is not in the wrong. I know that is quite surprising but this needed to be done. You see his landlord had threatened him with eviction. SO he decided to change things up a bit and throw some shade to his landlord. Safe to say, it worked splendidly.

Never go full Karen unless absolutely necessary!

Honestly, I would love to pay 3 moths as rent.

Last time I was threatened with eviction I dropped three pages of property violations predating my lease, all had passed the date they were supposed to be addressed to maintain cert of occupancy on the desk. I threatened to sue, they agreed 3 months rent-free to find a new apt. –Miller16of16

This response is perfect. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

That is the best way to throw shade at someone.

I am surprised the landlord didn’t call you out on being ‘shady’ towards him.

I can just imagine someone laughing evilly while staring at a laptop screen.

Well, That was definitely a short and sweet reply.

Sometimes it’s the only way to get things done the way you want them to be.

That is probably how the law works. You can always try.

You should never be too greedy or you might lose everything.

They can’t justchange the terms of your lease. Unless that’s specifically written out. Might consider litigation anyway. –PaintedLady5519

I think your landlord is ripping you off.
