New Dad Immediately Goes Back To Work After His Child Was Born, Mother Is Upset About It

Taking care of a child is a full-time job.

Many people believe it is simple because you get to spend your time with a cute baby, but it is much more difficult than it appears, especially for first-time parents who are still learning the ropes. They usually have no idea what they’re doing, so being thrown into the deep end and learning to swim can be quite stressful. This is made even more difficult if you are a single parent. I’m not here to bash single parents, but I do recognise that it’s difficult to care for a child when you’re alone or your significant other isn’t present.

It could be because they didn’t want the baby or because you and your partner split up. Whatever the reason, a large number of people are placed in this situation. And if your ex still wants to be involved but not as your partner, things can quickly become complicated. After all, you still want your child to know their parent, and both parents are expected to contribute equally. That is, at least, what the ideal is supposed to be, but reality is not like that. A leave of absence is not always possible when one of the parents works. After all, not every country provides paid leave, and having a baby is much more expensive than you might think.

You can read the entire story to find out why this is the crux of their issue.

The title makes him sound much worse than he actually is.

But we need to read the full story to understand his reasoning.

He apparently went back to work right after and his ex is not angry with him.

I can understand her anger but I can also see that he has no other choice.

He needs to provide for his child as is evident by the following paragraph.

In an ideal world where paternity leave is available in every country, I would say he is completely wrong. After all, a parent’s job is not only to provide for their child but also to care for and love them. However, this isn’t a fantasy world, and we don’t always have a choice. From the looks of it, he was either unsure whether he wanted to be involved in his children’s lives or his ex hadn’t decided yet, so there was probably some miscommunication between them.

This could have resulted in him being unable to take time off. We can’t make any assumptions because his new job may not even provide paid paternity leave. However, I understand where she is coming from because it must be extremely stressful, but there is no perfect solution to this.

People in the comments could also recognise his efforts.

It wasn’t as if he was intentionally neglecting his kid.

As this person said, we don’t live in an ideal world.

However, not everyone agrees with him.

Sometimes the best solution is less than excellent.

We do need a bit more information to make an informed opinion but that isn’t possible.

Every country has different rules regarding paternity leave.

To be fair, everyone is different.

It might have been because they never talked about it with each other.

What do you believe is the best solution to this problem? Do you believe he was wrong and should have taken time off? Or do you believe he is doing his best and that we shouldn’t be so harsh on him? Have you ever been in a situation like this before? If so, how did you handle it? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so please share them in the comments section below.
