“If you don’t stand by me when I’m at my worst, you don’t deserve me when I’m at my best,” We’ve probably all heard that at some point in the past. And most of the time it is accurate. There are times, though, when you have to put yourself first and foremost rather than continue to be with someone who no longer brings you joy.
Even though you may feel self-centered, success in life requires striking a balance between selfishness and compromise. You can’t just be a doormat for people to step on, after all. And in this specific story, that is what is taking place. That may sound simple from the title, but it’s actually more complicated than it might seem. #5 But her boyfriend just wants everything to be done for him.

#7 I understand that times can be ahrd but it seems like, he isn’t even trying.
#8 But that is not all, as he has stooped to threatening her with the cat.
#9 I understand everything else but not the cat part, that is just plain awful.
#10 And there are a few reasons why she can’t just adopt the cat even though she would want to.
This is far more complicated than it appears at first glance. I would have assumed the woman was in the wrong based solely on the title, but after reading the entire story, I can see where she is coming from. And what irritates me is that he is perfectly fine with blackmailing her when it comes to his cat. Nobody in their right mind would do something like that.
There's laziness, and then there's this. He must either change as soon as possible or recognise that both of them are clearly no longer working.

#13 It is clear that she does not love him anymore, so it is better to let go.
#14 It is understandable that she wants him to change but we can’t always expect that from someone.

#17 She knew him when he wasn’t like this so she still holds some hope for him.
