Baby talk is endearing. Even though I am not a big fan of children, I must admit that baby talk is adorable. However, it is easy to become irritated when people continue to do it around you, especially if your day isn’t going well. Is it, however, a good idea to use baby talk? Shouldn’t we talk to children normally so they can learn proper word pronunciation as they grow older?
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with baby talk, but it’s not like it’s beneficial to the child. So, why do people get so worked up when someone treats their child like any other human being? This may appear strange to you, but it is exactly what is happening in this story.
This woman, you see, asked the Internet if she was wrong for harping on her sister for not using baby-talk. People had a lot to say, as you might expect. So, scroll down to see for yourself.

#1 I can’t believe this woman has to ask this question in the first place.
#2 In her own words, her sister is a great babysitter.
#3 But she still has an issue with her over the sister not using baby-talk.
#4 Rather than letting it go, she was quick to talk with her.
#5 I don’t like to call anyone crazy but this is a weird thing to obsess over.
#6 The husband is 100% right in this instance.
#7 My questions is, was it worth it?
I don't even need to read the comments to know she's completely wrong. I mean, who makes such a big deal out of something so insignificant? Does she not have anything better to do with her free time? It's not like her sister is being disrespectful to the child. She appears to be an excellent babysitter.
I also don't use baby talk with children, though I do with animals. So her reasoning makes perfect sense to me. Is this woman willing to lose an emergency babysitter over this? Some people clearly have far too much spare time.
#8 She is actually helping rather than harming.
#9 The woman should not have dramatized it so much.
#10 We of course have a very punny message as well.
#11 But she must have missed that particular area of parenting.
#12 She needs to talk about her feelings to someone.
#13 Because this does not sound healthy to me.
#14 Does she want her child to be treated like a cat?
#15 It just depends on the individual. You can’t force someone.
#16 As long as she cares about the child, that is all that matters.
#17 It actively harms your children’s ability to speak properly.
#18 This really is quite silly.
#19 She really does need to apologize to her sister.
What are your thoughts on the whole thing? Do you think the woman made a big deal out of something insignificant? Or do you believe there's something else going on?
