People have gone crazy over trends these days. Blindly following things just to please your false ego is now the problem of every other person. This habit not only troubles you but the people around you as well. This lady shared one such experience on reddit telling that how her cousin tried to shame her for not bringing a gift on her second drive-by baby shower. Yeah, shamed for not bringing a gift to ‘second baby’ shower. That too was a drive-by and not a party.
Every culture has its own specific ways to celebrate pregnancy, baby showers and gender reveals. But, whatever the customs or norms might be, the gifts are always given as per the choice of whoever is giving, and not the one who is receiving. Yet, some people go too far in demanding gifts from others and this user’s cousin is the perfect example of it.

Hand made things have so much love and dedication involved and it makes them certainly the best gifts ever.
Buying gifts should never be the compulsion. The main idea behind giving a gift is to share happiness. And happiness can only be shared by gifting something with love. There should not be a requirement to bring gift if there is an occasion. But, this user’s cousin didn’t care about any of these things at all and went straight away demanding the gifts from her family. She didn’t bother whether anyone could actually afford these gifts that she added on the list or not. Also, she didn’t arrange a party to entertain the guests as if it was a ‘drive-by’ baby shower. So she only wanted to grab some expensive gifts and chill at home after all.
