It is true that comics and digital art have been the best ways to show us the things happening around us, lately. Comics and art go hand-in-hand like siblings and it has been around for ages, it a very old type of entertainmeny but still very much in demand to this day and it is still very creative. Many talented people over time have come up with many different types and forms of comics and art. One of its type is dark comics, which is very popular now. It is a very unique comic style that creates a light of subjects that are usually reflected as serious or taboo and are not really considered to be joked about but these artists cross limits to make us laugh or cringe. Might I add that they are not like the regular comics you see or read online, they are usually also not for the underage people because they are totally something different than the usual comedic stuff. Dark comics are the specific type of comics that bring on the humorous element and some horror with a mind-blowing and unexpected ending that suddenly people are taken aback. It is also not for the weak-hearted people. They can trigger some phobias, hence they are called dark humour.

Now this is some really dark humor, right? I was not expecting it to be so scary, I had goosebumps and chills down my spine a couple of times already. Itold you that the artist who makes these dark comics, Edd Lai, is great at what he do, he is extremely talented and he has been publishing his work for over 6 months. He described his own dark comics to be such as, “Exciting, Funny, with some horror, but bright and charming.”
He also writes scripts and novels. Some of them were also published in Taiwan. He also wrote 3 series of long-running comics for a Korean company. Edd Lai makes his living by writing and his inspiration weirdly but uniquely happens to be human complexity. Lai likes to note down the differences in people’s lives, how cool and creative is that? Never heard anyone else do that. He is so original. He notices how each one of us has a different point of view which is completely true. I totally agree with him, every individual is unique and different from the other in their own way. Edd lai believes that every individual’s difference and uniqueness is based on what they believe to be true and how they tend to ignore other’s perspectives to see things.
