24 Hilarious Comics That Every Parent Can Relate To

Being a parent requires a lot of hard work.

It may seem like an easy job from the outside but it is anything but easy. Not only do you not get any sleep but you also don’t get appreciated much even though you’re on the job 24/7. However, parenting is not all about the bad times or people wouldn’t have kids in the first place. At the end of the day, it can be quite a rewarding experience to see your kid’s angelic face while they sleep and realizing that you did well.

Although, we do sometimes tend to forget the happy feeling especially when your kid wants everything done their way. This is what the artist had to say about how she started and the reasoning behind all of her work.

My name is Yllya,, I am a French independent painter and webcomic artist, and I am the mother of a 3-year-old little girl.

Last year, and somewhat coincidentally, I launched a webcomic on Instagram about my family life. We were returning home after daycare and we got stuck in the elevator of our building. I was nervous because I’m a bit claustrophobic, but my daughter thinks it’s kind of a game, and my husband sticks out like he usually does. Later, when we finally got out, I thought it was a funny story and I could turn it into comedy. I pulled it out and posted it on Instagram and it looks like people like it. A few weeks later, I took another picture after talking to my husband about our daughter’s hair. And people liked it too. So started a webcomic.

The innumerable families and parents are a source of divine inspiration. All the comics are based on a real story with lots of carry catchers. The fact of the matter is that there is always someone to take care of it. I really enjoy drawing this comic and I hope you enjoy reading it too!

#16 Being home alone is quite fun and this is exactly what I do as well.
