Not all comic books are created equal.
And I’m not talking about the comics’ quality. I’m more concerned about the audience and what they prefer. After all, not everyone shares the same interests. While some people enjoy dark comedy, others choose to read more lighthearted material. However, it is difficult to discover comics that are both wholesome and have a shocking twist that can be pretty gloomy at times. That is exactly what the artist of this comic, ‘Ricky Hawkins’, has in store for us. This endeavour is called ‘Inky Rickshaw Comics,’ and he has had a devoted following since he began drawing in 2018.
Most, if not all, of his works contain simple, vividly coloured comics that flawlessly compress the brief story into four panels. And, while they may appear whimsical, they usually contain a relatable quality lurking inside them. So it’s no surprise that he’s become one of our favourite comic book artists. However, you’ve not come to read my adoration for his work. After all, you’re here to see these comics for yourself.

Ricky has over 35k Instagram followers, not to mention all of the other social media channels he uses. He sends out semi-regular updates to his admirers about new works, and people are continually screaming for more. He truly delivers his jokes flawlessly, and they never appear stale, even when he is recycling previous gags in his comics. And, while it was difficult for us to select only a few comics from his collection, we did so. This way, all of you can have a taste of what he has in store for you.
