Daughter Refuses To Share Her Inheritance With Her Entitled Family And Parents

Money has the power to transform people.

This is an old adage that is more relevant today than ever before. People can end others’ lives over money, so it’s no surprise that they can change their tune when it comes to inheritance issues. I’m sure many of us have witnessed family members who used to despise you transform into the kindest human beings when they realised they could get something from you. Although blood is thicker than water, it is clearly not more important than money in many cases. It’s heartbreaking to see money split families, but if your parents stop talking to you because you didn’t give them what they wanted, they clearly didn’t love you in the first place. After all, is the love genuine if it was purchased with money?

That is the preceding problem in this story. Because the protagonist of this story has never had a good relationship with her siblings or parents, It wasn’t for a lack of effort on her part either. It was exacerbated by her sister’s affair with her fiancé. Her ex-fiance is also to blame, but it would obviously hurt more if it was your sibling stabbing you in the back. Despite the fact that she was the one who was hurt, her parents never supported OP. So she was living a normal enough life after cutting contact with everyone except her grandfather. Is this whole thing quite sad? Absolutely. Is it really that surprising? Not at all. I cannot count how many times I’ve seen family members act quite entitled when it comes to money. When it comes to inheritance or when they realise you can help them, your parents will suddenly start acting as if they have sacrificed everything for you. Personally, I believe she is extremely right for not giving them a penny from her inheritance.

They clearly chose their path and are now attempting to reverse it. Not only that, but she was the one who took care of her grandfather in his last days, so is it really that surprising that he left her all of his money? I’m sure he wouldn’t want her to share her inheritance with anyone else, either.

At the end of the day, they don’t deserve it.
